Individual Counseling or Therapy
In Counseling, you may want to know more about symptoms or treatment for specific troubles such as depression or anxiety. You may feel trapped or stuck and want a new point of view. You may need to be reminded about your strengths or work out your options.
Therapy adds the level of watching for themes and patterns during our sessions and during your week. We may add the analysis of your dreams or free associations to our work or spend time reviewing your family and life history. If you understand that your struggles may be repeating themselves in your life and you want to know yourself in a new way, then you will find the process of psychotherapy fascinating and rewarding.
Respectful Conversations with Teen and Young People
Anger, acting out, withdrawal and mood changes can be normal signs of the big transitions of growing up, or they can be signs of depression and anxiety. In either case, your son or daughter may need support from a neutral person so he or she can re-connect with parents, family, education, and his or her course in life.
Play Therapy
If your young child is showing signs of stress, play therapy helps in two ways. The play reveals what he or she is thinking about so that we can provide more guidance or interventions in these areas.
And play itself is healing for children and allows them to work out worries and questions about the world. Play means to children what a good conversation means to adults.
